WiLAN has always undertaken its licensing activities on the premise that licensing intellectual property be based on a principled, professional, merit-based, and reasonable business-driven approach. This methodology has generated fair and stable returns for shareholders, with many of our programs generating revenue within 12 – 24 months. WiLAN's methodology seeks to avoid litigation, preferring to derive fair, reasonable, and commercially-viable royalties commensurate with the underlying value of the patented technology. However, if needed, WiLAN will pursue enforcement through litigation in various jurisdictions around the world in order to prevent unlicensed use of its intellectual property.
