Wi-LAN Will Also be Exhibiting at Booth 623
CALGARY, Canada - July 7, 2003 - Wi-LAN Inc. (TSE:WIN), a global provider of broadband wireless communications products and technologies, will have representatives speaking at the annual Wireless Communications Association's 16th Annual Convention (WCA 2003), July 8 to 11, Washington DC Convention Center. Wi-LAN will also have representatives on hand to discuss its products and technologies at Booth 623 in the Convention Center Exhibit Hall.
Two Wi-LAN representatives will be speaking on at the WiMAX Educational Workshop in Room 209B on Friday, July 11 from 9:45 to 12:45, as follows:
- 9:55 to 10:25 - ETSI/Hiperman and IEEE 802.16/WiMAX - A truly global initiative.

In this session learn what ETSI and WiMAX are doing to harmonize a global, interoperable, BWA initiative and what the steps are to achieve this goal.
- 11:50 to 12:45 - BWA Roundtable - From chips to bits - The 802.16 food chain.

o Description: Haoming Huang, Product Manager, Wi-LAN will speak on a roundtable panel that will bring together chip vendors, system companies and service providers as they talk about their needs and plans for 802.16a compliant systems. Also on the panel will be Ron Resnick of Intel Corporation; Aditya Agrawal of Fujitsu Microelectronics America, and representatives from other broadband wireless equipment vendors.
