Wi-LAN Adds Business Development Vice President


Lee Warren Brings Experience in Product Management and Competitive Assessments, Adding Strength to Wi-LAN's Acquisitions and Strategic Alliance Strategies

Wi-LAN Inc. (TSE:WIN), a leading innovator in the field of wireless data/Internet communications, today announced the appointment of Lee Warren as Business Development Vice President effective immediately. Lee has been working for Wi-LAN since October 1999, as Senior Product Manager. Previously with Nortel Networks, Lee brought to Wi-LAN 10 years of high-tech industry experience in product management, business development, and sales.

As a Business Line Manager for Nortel Networks, Lee was responsible for product strategy, competitive assessments, cost profiles, and product positioning. Prior to that, Lee was a Senior Manager, Sales and Marketing for Nortel Networks, where she was responsible for the creation and management of a $1 Million sales and marketing budget, and for ensuring business growth and performance to budgeted plans and margins. As well, Lee undertook the creation of three and eight-year business plans for her business unit.
